To help SMEs boost their growth in the defence sector, the EU launched exclusive business coaching services for selected SME beneficiaries of the European Defence Fund (EDF). The services were created as part of the EU Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS), a set of instruments in the EDF to increase defence competitiveness and innovation.
The coaching services are open to SMEs selected as part of the EDF 2021 and EDF 2022 calls. Beneficiaries can receive up to 15 days of one-to-one business coaching provided by experts.

The type of assistance provided will depend on the needs of the applying SME. Topics covered via the coaching services include market readiness, commercialisation, access to finance, commercial due diligence, execution capacity, legal and IP advice as well as growth and internationalisation.
